NEW! PIXL Needle Cartridges
The no-drip solution for refined precision.
I’m so excited to share my new and improved PIXL Needle Cartridges with you!
PIXL needles are about to change the game for PMU artists.
Artists can now expect high-performance and low trauma with this new, innovative NO-DRIP TIP needle cartridge. This new tip will reduce pigment pooling, improve visibility, and increase precision.
We listened to the struggles of what the community has been going through:
Why is this happening and how can these struggles be avoided?
These common issues can be caused by the following:
- Pigment naturally collects around the edge of the plastic tip, then “drops” on the skin like a puddle
- Usage of very thin/diluted pigments
- The needle protrusion (a.k.a. needle hang) is TOO SHORT, which leads to pigment collecting around the tip and dropping onto the skin prematurely
- The needle protrusion (a.k.a. needle hang) is TOO LONG, making it hard for the pigment to slide down the needle to reach the skin.
Although these are accepted, everyday industry-standard issues, we wanted to develop an even better iteration of our beloved needles that would reduce pooling to increase visibility for artists.
Introducing: PIXL Needle Cartridges!
What's new and improved?
If you loved our original needles, don’t worry, we still have many of the same features:
- Long taper (6mm)
- Elongated tip for clear line-of-sight
- Patented safety membrane to prevent backflow
- Soft membrane tension to optimize machine performance
- Universal cartridges (compatible with all rotary machines)
But now, they’re even better!
What configurations are available?
0.25mm 1RL (0.25mm 1 Round Liner Long Taper)
This is one of our most popular and versatile needles, suitable for any procedure. Choose a 0.25mm 1RL if you want a lesser stream of pigment to the skin for the most precise needlework.
0.30mm 1RL (0.30mm 1 Round Liner Long Taper)
This is one of our most popular and versatile needles, suitable for any procedure. Choose a 0.30mm 1RL if you want more pigment flow to the skin for precise needlework, such as when outlining or densely shading the brow or lip.
0.35mm 1RL (0.35mm 1 Round Liner Long Taper)
This is one of our most popular and versatile needles, suitable for any procedure. Choose a 0.35mm 1RL if you want maximum pigment flow to the skin for precise needlework, such as when outlining or densely shading the brow or lip.
0.25mm 3RL (0.25mm 3 Round Liner Long Taper)
Reduce your working time by choosing this slightly larger configuration, ideal for lining, shading and layering color. Choose a 0.25mm 3RL for easy skin entry when lining or shading larger surface areas on thicker skin types.
0.25mm 3RS (0.25mm 3 Round Shader Long Taper)
Reduce your working time by choosing this slightly larger configuration, ideal for shading and layering color. Choose a 0.25mm 3RS if you want a more resistant skin entry and softer color, such as when shading sensitive, thinner, or mature skin.
5RS 0.25mm (0.25mm 5 Round Shader Long Taper)
Reduce your working time by choosing this larger configuration, a high-coverage option ideal for shading and layering color. Choose a 0.25mm 5RS if you want a more resistant skin entry and softer color with a larger configuration, such as when shading sensitive, thinner, or mature skin.
0.25mm 7CM (0.25mm 7 Curved Magnum Long Taper)
Quickly create smooth gradient blends by choosing this larger configuration, a high-coverage option ideal for shading and layering color on larger surface areas. This needle is great for shading on larger surface areas with minimal wrinkles.
0.25mm 9CM (0.25mm 7 Curved Magnum Long Taper)
Quickly create smooth gradient blends by choosing this larger configuration, a high-coverage option ideal for shading and layering color on larger surface areas. This needle is great for shading on larger surface areas with minimal wrinkles.
Machine Compatibility
Our new PIXL Needle Cartridges remain compatible with all rotary devices such as the Xion, Mast, Bishop, and Brow Daddy Cleo. Be aware - many PMU machines do not accept universal needle cartridges, so be sure to check with the manufacturer first to confirm compatibility.
FAQs
Q: How long should I set my needle hang (protrusion from the machine)?
A: Set your needle hang at 2-2.5 mm so it’s not too short nor too long. If it is too short at less than 2mm, you will not be able to see the tip of the needle and pooling will occur. If it’s too long at more than 2.5mm, then the pigment will not flow down to the tip of the needle.
Q: Sometimes, I can’t get the pigment to flow, what am I doing wrong?
A: Pigment will collect and dry at the tip, so cleaning your needles frequently will help prevent pigment flow issues. Make sure you are drawing up enough pigment, continuously cleaning the tip of the cartridge, and setting the needle hang at 2-2.5mm.
Q: Will these cartridges work with any rotary machines?
A: Yes, they will fit rotary machines, however, they do not work with PMU machines that will not accept “universal cartridges”.
Q: What is the difference between PIXL and the original Precision needles?
A: The plastic tip of the 1, 3, and 5 needles cartridges have a unique no-drip tip to reduce pigment puddling and pooling. The 7CM and 9CM needle cartridges now have an even slimmer casing to improve pigment flow and tattooing precision.
Q: I like the original model. Can I still order those?
A: Yes, you can until we run out of stock.
