FAQ’s

Can you mix these pigments?
Yes, these pigments can be used on their own or mixed with any Lust or Envy lip pigment for a custom blend. You can also mix with other Perma Blend pigments, however it is not needed.

Should I modify these pigments?
These pigments are designed to create beautiful, balanced color when used on their own, so they do not require modification. However, you may choose to add extra warmth if your client has cool-toned lips such as purple or red.

Can I use these colors for dark lip neutralization?
To neutralize lips that are brown, purple, or blue, warm colors are needed to “warm up” these undertones such as Peach, Orange Coral, or Flame from the Lust collection. This neutralization process should be done in stages until the desired effect is achieved. Once healed, you can proceed with applying the desired target color or add additional warm colors. We advise that only artists with experience and thorough training attempt this, as a deep understanding of pigment color theory is needed.

You can learn to master the art of dark lip neutralization with Jasmine Diebelius in this, advanced online course featuring four live demos, HD videos, and expert insights on color selection, pigment science, and more.

How can I darken the pigment?
When using the Envy collection, Wine can be used to darken any of the colors. When using the Lust collection, Soft Red can be used to darken any of the colors.

How do these pigments differ from Perma Blend’s regular lip pigments?
This line has been exclusively developed by Tina Davies in collaboration with Perma Blend in a range of 12 fresh and modern colors with a higher pigment load. Each set also includes an easy-to-use Color Chart for quick reference and easy color selection.

What makes these pigments last longer than other PMU lines?
Because all of the colors are highly concentrated, you end up with more saturation in the skin. The more saturation in the skin, the longer the color will last. Additionally, the pigment ingredients are comprised of the absolute highest quality pigments with the highest lightfastness rating for maximum color stability and performance.

Do these pigments contain Titanium Dioxide?
Yes, titanium dioxide is a necessary color ingredient used to lighten various tones, such as turning red lighter to pink. Additionally, it provides opacity and coverage to colors, preventing them from appearing too sheer. These pigments contain safe and trace amounts of titanium dioxide to achieve specific color tones.

What other ingredients are in these pigments?
The ingredients are a combination of high-quality inorganic and organic powder color ingredients, glycerin, witch hazel, aqua, rosin, benzyl alcohol, and isopropyl alcohol. The pigments are also vegan and cruelty-free. These pigments do not contain any heavy metals. Please see our MSDS for our full ingredient listings.

What will the retention of these pigments be?
Knowing that the retention on lip tattooing can oftentimes be challenging, these pigments have been specifically formulated with maximum pigment load to yield the highest level of retention after one treatment. The results soften and lighten by 30%-50% post-treatment based on technique and color selection.

How can I prevent these pigments from fading?
We suggest using sunblock while in the sun and keeping the lips moisturized to prevent dryness and peeling.
